Planetarium

This morning, we visited the Planetarium. We had a fantastic time learning about space. We ‘visited’ different planets and their moons as well as visiting the sun. In the end we decided the best place for us is Earth! We explored different constellations and found out about the Great Bear and how to find the North star.

Skipping Day

Yesterday, we had a visit from Chris the Skipping Man. We had a great time. There were lots of laughs and smiles. We enjoyed showing off our skills to everyone at the end of the day. We look forward to practising our skills at breaks and lunchtimes.

RE

By Mae and Noah
In RE this week, we drew and painted pictures about unconditional love. We showed the good news of Jesus. We each thought about examples of where our family shows unconditional love for one another. We read 3 parts of the Bible which showed Jesus’ love for us.

Millhouses Walk

By Ella and Grace

This week 5/6 class went on a geography walk we went all the way to Mercia school and round Millhouses.  Along the way, we met a nice lady who lived in the area. We asked her if she liked the school and she said she didn’t mind it because she know’s children  have to learn and go to school but is blocking her view of the beautiful fields and trees.

Investigating shadows

Yesterday, we worked with the year 6 class to investigate shadows. We went out at different times in the day to see where our shadows would fall.  We drew around them to keep a track of where they were and measured them to see how long they were.

Our first week

Hello parents.

This is Ella, Grace, Mae, Noah and Cian.

Ella and Grace:

Our new topic is space. We have done a big write that links to space and we all share a great fascination.

Mae:

THE BIG WRITE In our class, we have all started a big write about a space story. It could be about anything but we all have a great story to tell. We are all having an amazing time!

HOT AIR BALLOONS To get to know each other, we all made a hot air balloon. We had to draw a picture of ourselves and say how old you are and what’s your favourite food, book and TV show. We all got to know each other really well.

Noah and Cian:

In class this week, we have been drawing fish. We drew the fish with as much detail as we could and they had a lot of detail in them. We drew gills, scales, finds and all different shapes.
